Welcome to Catchpool Shetlands

Having neglected the website since 2015, I’ve made it my resolution to keep it more up to date and add more content! Since I had Harry, my first son, updating the website became a thing of the past so now i have the long tedious task of updating a few years worth of activity!

2017, in brief was a quieter year pony wise, as I had my second son, Oliver. We decided to do some in hand with Camanchee and after being disappointed with the inland result in NPS Summer championships, without being sat on since Olympia, Chee went straight into the HOYS ridden with Georgia James and mush to our surprise went on to win the class and qualify for HOYS! That really was our cheapest HOYS ticket to date having not campaigned for it and well Chee was out the field with his mares all summer and when he got home he even when straight back out to be with them! He is such a wonderful pony. We also took him to the SWWSPG summer show where he was supreme champion and his stable buddy, Camelot of Catchpool was reserve supreme!

2018, Chee will be out with his mares and we will take him to a few shows – most likely straight from the field to do some inland as he just loves it so much! Sapphire Classic is down with Frankie Currell and will come out under saddle. Classic loves having a job and is a much happier pony when he’s being ridden and out competing!

2015 Brinleyview Camanchee was Supreme Champion at the South West Wales Shetland Group show on the 26th April with his son winning the large 2/3 year old class, having been graded for the BSPA the week before. He then made his way down to Debbie Barr who took him to his first BSPA RIHS qualifier on the 10th May at the South Suffolk Show, which he won, he also won the D/E/S RIHS qualifier – that is two RIHS tickets in one day!
