Penstrumbly Last Train – Tim

Penstumbly Last Train

DOB: 1999

Sire: Derwen Railway Express

Dam: Morlyn Merry Legs

Timber is a lovely Section D bay gelding. He is absolutely Cracking. We bought him in Leominster sales not knowing anything about the Penstrumbly stud and we are so pleased we bought him. He is a real advert for Welsh cobs and has the kindest nature. A real sweet heart, we absolutely adore him. Some of his results in 2010 include champion at Wales and Borders, Silver medal winner Gower show, where he also won the ridden D. Champion Inhand M&M at NPS summer champs, 1st pairs in SWPA evening performance. In 2011 he has had 2 ridden Welsh Championships winning 2 welsh pony & cob medals.

He will be out showing this year and just basically having fun!

We bought my mum a beautiful grey filly from Diana at the Eastlands stud. Firstly I’d like to say thank you to Diana for letting this happen and secondly for such a gorgeous Mare. She has a lovely temperament and is a fine example of a connemara.

Dun Anna has been broken and we are bringing her on slowly. She enjoyed her first days hunting on New Years Day 2014. We are hoping to get her to a few shows soon for the novice classes.

A palomino Welsh Cob Mare. Although retired from the ridden life now she is still every bit the character.

In 2008 Daisy had a big bay filly, Honeyacre Miss Dior. She is already showing promise as a show jumper as she keeps jumping out of her field!

In 2010 Daisy had a dun colt by Ruska Mab y brenin. Absolutely cracking!

In 2012 Daisy had a chestnut filly by Oldforge the Gladiator.

Thorneyside Miss Magic

A chestnut Welsh Cob Mare, Madge is very well bred with good bone and action. We have used her to breed welsh part breds, and she has given us 2 lovely fillies, Honeyacre Miss Molly Malone and Honeyacre Kiss me Kate. Both now been sold.

In 2008 she had a chestnut welsh cob by Nebo Thomas. He is chestnut with four white socks and a blaze!

In 2010 she had a another lovely chestnut colt by Nebo Thomas, an exact look a like to his brother. Maybe a driving pair in the future!

Unfortunately Madge passed away in January 2014.

Phoebe is a lovely fell with a really kind nature. She is loving the ridden life but she is giving me a bit of a workout as she tends to be quite lazy! She is fantastic to hack out and has started enjoying the shows. We will be aiming her at the picton qualifiers this year.

Davina is a lovely bay Mare. Section D. Loves being ridden, but Max had better ideas and in 2013 she has had a cracking Chestnut filly!

She is now back in work and we are looking to aim her at the picton qualifiers soon.

Old Forge the Gladiator – Max

Max Qualified for HOYS 2014 (photos below)

Max qualified for Royal International 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 in Mountain & Moorland working hunter pony.

Max is a lovely welsh cob stallion, owned by Terry Davies.

We had Max to show but jumping is his thing and he is loving it! He narrowly missed out on his flat hoys ticket coming 3rd in Monmouth with same marks as the winner. He has qualified for Royal International 4 years running. Been supreme champion worker. 2nd in the Intermediate working hunter final at NPS. Champion Open Ridden at NPS area 29, He has also been Champion in Royal Welsh twice!

We are pleased he qualified for Royal International in area 29 jumping the only clear round of the class, my boy certainly can jump! He qualified in Moreton for HOYS jumping one of only two clears.
